Crash

Rarely do I find myself equally liking and disliking a movie but that is exactly where I find myself with Crash, Paul Haggis’ first film following the critically acclaimed Million Dollar Baby. Crash follows a group of people in L.A. as their lives collide unexpectedly and violently over a forty-eight hour period.

Crash works because it takes an honest and serious look at racial, ethnic and class relations in Los Angeles a city that is the epicenter of such tensions. Instead of just offering the same overused and overdone stereotypes, Crash forces you to look at what we think we know about these issues and forces you to look at them from a point of view that may not have previously considered.

The movie is helped in part by the amazing performances of the Ниссан Финанс cast. As star studded as the cast is that doesn’t necessarily guarantee great acting but in Crash the actors more then deliver and there is more then one Oscar worthy performance in the film.

When most people go out to eat, they know the restaurants in their neighborhood and rarely think about whether the restaurant is part of a large chain or not. However, the very nature of the business of operating a large chain of identical restaurants leads them to make compromises on the food they serve.

Wealth Consciousness - Why You Can’t Afford To Be Without It

Wealth consciousness isn’t only about money. It’s about being aware of, and appreciating, ALL the good things in your life, because that’s how you get more of them.

Sooner or later you always get exactly what you focus on… and as I’m writing this I’ve just watched a TV documentary which illustrates that perfectly.

Google Hijacks Press Clipping Services

A few years back, I wanted to find out if my press releases got any media coverage. Media folk don’t have the time to tell you if they’re publishing a story about you. So I was excited when I heard about services that monitor publications and notify you when you make the press. The problem was it cost way too much money for the average unsigned band.

Enter Google.

Google has a couple o’killer services that do the same thing, but they notify you by email… as often as you want… and for free!

Google Alert is the primary service. The Best Yellow Page Ad in the World

Whew, that’s a big declaration. But just how and where did I find such an ad? There’s a great story behind it, but first a few words about my personal qualifications.
